I grabbed a few coding ebooks from Apress, they were just what I needed. The examples matched the docs, and the code actually ran without a bunch of weird fixes, which is ridiculous how rare that can be with tech books. Happy with them overall...

I picked up a couple of Apress books for coding topics, and overall they felt like a safe bet. The authors clearly know their stuff, and I liked that the examples were practical instead of just padded out with theory or fluff.

A few chapters were a little dry, and some screenshots looked dated, so I did find myself double-checking a few things before relying on them too much. But for the most part, they were useful and dependable, and I’d probably buy from them again.

I found my book really fast, and checkout was super simple. the whole site was SO easy to use.

I bought a book from apress.com hoping to learn without too much hassle, but the code examples ended up being frustrating. The only thing I noticed is that the paper feels a little thin in a few spots, and the layout/design is basic. That said, if you’re buying it to actually read and learn from, it does the job just fine. If anyone in the community is wondering, I’d say don’t expect premium presentation, but it’s a solid pick for the content and I’d buy again
